Yes, As soon as you are hired into your position, you have to attend a week long extencive training program. The Training dedicates a significant amount of time reviewing federal/accreditation regulations governing admissions.

You are required to take a test upon completion of the training to make sure you understand the information provided.

Our school is very specific on the rules and regulations because it is so important to know the law when it comes to education.

Yes we do. I would say about 80% of our training is focused on compliance.

With the changes going on in the industry in for profit schools. I know compliance is a huge issue. Many schools that I have been with actually spend days or even weeks on proper compliance training. In my current position the compliance training originally took an entire 8 hour day and then there is continued training every three weeks or so.
I understand it's importance but I really don't think that compliance changes much, it all comes back to just doing the right thing for the student.

Yes, Training has been increased for new hires from two weeks to three weeks. At least 75% of the training is geared to compliance. More so with the state regulations than the federal regulations, however federal regulations are covered extensivily. Accreditation is covered in so far as teaching recruiters who is the accreditating agency approved by the board of ed.

Yes, at our school we are provided with very in-depth training. There is training regarding compliance throughout the first couple weeks, as well as throughout your career as a rep, as needed. We are very focused on compliance regulations.

Yes, our school does have training programs for new agents/admissions reps. All new reps spend an alotted time period reviewing the specifics of state/federal/accreditation regulations. This information is crucial to the school, as all reps must adhere to policies that are put in place. All reps are informed of any changes made and take part in necessary training immediately after the school has been informed of the change.

We are also getting updates from our managers as to new and relevant regulations, sometimes in the form of friendly reminders. Compliance is big factor, we want to do what is best for the student while staying within the guidlines of the laws set in place.

The initial training includidng both computer and formal training with instructors, is extensive. Continual weekly training by our DOA as well as an annual compliance test keeps us informed about state/federal and accreditation requirements.

As a new admissions representative; you go through several weeks of training on campus and with the corporate trainers. A great deal is spent on complinace issues. As a current admissions representative the school does training sessions on compliance and addressing any changes in policies and rules. Everyone must pass a yearly compliance test at the college.
