I see now that being an informed agent is of vital importance so that the prospective student gets all the info they need to make an informed decision about enrolling. Although there are many requirements for the agent, I know that the more knowledge I have the more successful I will be.

I have been away from the business for a while and I am impressed with the quality of training and accountability the industry has achieved. The standards are right where it needs to be. Is there anything on the horizon coming up next?

You can always learn new, helpful, and vital information. And there is no limit to the knowledge that you can have about your school and its programs.

I feel very good about making sure I know everything about the requirements for Agents. It helps me keep informed what I should know and makes me a better rep.

There is a lot to know as an agent. Not only do you need to know state rules and regulations, you also need to know the processes for your particular institution. It is important to stay current and up-to-date on this information. Organization is key to collect, maintain and understand this information.

I have worked as an Agent for 10 plus years. This is a great refresher on information and keeps me up to date.

i fell like a resaurce notebook would be a good thing to have on hand.

I am brand-new to this field, however, I am grateful that laws and regs are in place to create that honesty and transparency for prospective students, which creates more quality, I feel, in those we are releasing into the world as "experts":)

Hey Kim, again, great question. The Agent's requirements are pretty standard, and while Ohio's differences, in terms of regualtions, are minimal, I feel I have a pretty good understanding of this topic so far. There are alot of liability issues that could occur if the proper words are not used in an admissions call. There are alot of phrases and terms to be avoided and it is important to be knowledgable about the institute's policies, in order to avoid any compliance issues. Thanks again!

i think the requrements are fair. agent's should have a clear understanding of what is needed to successfully help a student.

There is no doubt that this course in needed, and designed to prepare you for success.

Im currently training and the coarse had great information.

I thought everything was great, well done

The laws and regulations for each state are amazingly different, especially when you're being licensed in many states. The notebooks will help to keep track of the information.

clearly defined very helpful to know

It really helped

I think it is a good thing to have requirements when it comes to licensing agents to enroll students. It is better to be aware with the rules & regulations in order to avoid an compliance issues.

I have been in the education industry for almost 10 years. During those 10 years Admissions and the agent requirements have changed drastically. This information is not new to me. The Agent requirements are very standard and necessary. Agents who use misleading information and/or tactics are doing not only a disservice to the institution in which they work but also a HUGE disservice to the students.

I am a new start, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but if it means anything - I am excited begin!

Thinking back on it, I suppose that the Agent's requirements contain a great deal more legal knowledge that I had initially anticipated. It very much seems that while knowledge of the school and its programs is extremely important, a sound understanding of relevant laws and regulations must supplement and augment this as well.
