Enrollment, Institution, Program, Enrollment Agreement, Cancellation and Refund Policy and Certificate of Completion are all included in our Enrollment Agreement.

I have just started this course, so far I have put the Terms and Definitions and the CFIE Statues. I can see how this will shape up to be an important tool with the admissions process.

a few definitions that are commonly used during the admissions process are hands on training, which allow students to learn by doing. Accreditation, which gives us guidlines to follow and maintain. Also externship, which develpos our grads before they enter the work force.

I actually have been keeping something very similar to a resource notebook. However, I am altering my current book to better assist me as a Resource Notebook.

We discuss what being a " student " means, in terms of rights, roles, and responsibilities.

We discuss what being a " teacher " means, and what the expectations are for the teacher in relation to the student experience, but also what the students responsibilities are in that relationship as well.

We discuss what role the admissions professional can and does play in supporting the student throughout their journey in school, as well as what information is available for the student to better understand the school and what we can offer.

I believe that providing as much clear and concise information as possible to our admissions staff has been the key to success for us.

We examine the information every 30 days to ensure that it is accurate, and appropriate for our team to use in the discussion with a student regarding our school, and our programs.

Terms and definitions commonly used during the admissions process at my school include accreditation, explanations of the program, financial aid, degrees offered, catalog and course descriptions.

I have printed all of the test modules as well as all of the Florida Statutes, Rules, Regulations and Codes that apply to my profession as the Admissions Director - all of this has gone into my Resource notebook. I have a copy of our school Catalog, an enrollment agreement, and a copy of all of the documents that are required to be submitted and signed by our applicants.

Yes, I agree. Not only do we communicate face to face what to expect in a refund situation, it is also clearly defined in our catalog and enrollment agreement.

I am actually excited about my Resource Notebook! To be honest, I was getting a little out of date with my resource book, but this training was great in assisting me to get it organized and CURRENT. Most important, I realize that it's never actually complete. A successful Resource Notebook is a continuous work in progress. I'm making it a goal to go through each month to be sure that I keep up-to-date. I also enjoyed taking some time to get myself familiar with the CIE website today. That was very imformative.

I have placed many articles that I have typically considered "not within my scope" as to date. However, this training helped me realize that it's important that we ALL know policy and procedures because it benefits the student and our institution. I actually printed the recommended sample list so that I can update my resource notebook. After this training, I have so many ideas that I want to put into action and create the best possible resource book that benefits me, my co-workers and the students.

I have found the Resource Notebook to be vital to our staff. Especially with maintaining required changes that are updating constantly. We use a interoffice system to broadcast a message when updates to the Resource Notebook/Manual have been made. By doing this we insure that all parties involved in admissions know there is new informational updates to their positions. This is the way we make sure they get the most current information quickly.

Do you have a RN for each individual admissions rep?

Some common terms involved with the admissions process are student services, accreditation, and career placement.

I have gathered everything noted in the “Reference Notebook Checklist” and added it to my Resource Notebook. I was unaware of the requirements on “Agents”, particularly reporting to CIE and the yearly updating for approval. I do not supervise our agents, but I am happy to learn of this.

When I speak with prospective students looking to apply for admissions with our university we speak about admissions requirements, quality student expectations, the licensure and accreditation our school and programs have to offer to graduates of the program, and curriculum of the programs. We are a very specialized program so student expectations seem to be pretty clear in understanding the type of school we are and the investment of their education.

Consistency is extremely important for admissions and is essential for any college

This is such a helpful tool. Having all the information in one place instead of in 10 separate files will save time and help to keep me more organized.

Some terms that are often used in our admissions office include:

Pre-requisites: Courses that will prepare prospective students for the programs offered at our institution; classes that are required to be completed before enrolling in the programs.

Supporting Documentation: Additional documents to support core application information. Includes applicant essays, letters of recommendation, and official transcripts and test scores.

Official Transcript: An official document outlining coursework, completed credit hours, and completed diploma or degree if applicable. Must be printed and sealed by the institution's registrar, and remain in a sealed envelope in order to remain official.
