Stephanie,
Please explain "whitty."

Giannina,
Exactly! ...and it is the responsibility of the student to research thoroughly.

Brad,
Add any additonal material beyond the basics to help you in your position.

Janice,
Excellent start on your definitions!

I have placed all the rules and regulations, and about my institution, I added all the departments policies and procedures to be more informed.

Some terms used during the admission process are "earned degree, accreditation, enrollment agreement, cancellation policy, and the financial aid process.

My resource book includes this course information as well as my institution's guidelines and procedures. Included are some examples in the proper way to represent school offerings as outlined by Federal and State statutes.

Some of the main terms used at our institution are accreditation, most students want to know whether we are accredited and to know which agency has approved us to receive federal funding, enrollment agreement is a binding contract between the student and the institution which provides the student with the policies pertaining to this institution, scholarship is offered to qualifing students who is enrolled into a post secondary education and it is awarded to them to help defray the cost of education.

I have already begun adding additional information to the resource notebook.A quasi organizational chart as well as reference websites for various CIE/Accrediting sites.

Decisions concerning the acceptance of credits earned in any course taken at the school are made at the discretion of the receiving institution.

conduct - when a student is given a tour and taken through all the admissions information by a representative
FA Overview - when the student meets with an Financial Aid Coordinator to learn about Financial Aid
WITY - stands for "What's Important To You?" - a questionaire that the student fills out and the rep uses during a conduct

Conduct, Whitty, Financial Aid administrator, Orientation.

I have started building and organizing my Resource Notebook by coping the MaxKnowledge sections. Florida Statues of the Fair Consumer Proctices, 1005.04, and Licensure of Institions, 1005.31. Plus, I am continuing to update.

The primary Information Source I have is the UPDATED school catalog. I also have added the specific career advisement wheels and the school activity calendar. What did surprise me is how often the catalog is changed. New careers are added and others are phased out. This is why the school catalog is so indispensable.

This is a very important informational tool that helps the admmissions rep have up to date access to important information, policies, and procedures.

In my resource notebook I have career wheels, course descriptions, BLS information, rules and statutes pertaining to my job and other kinds of job aids.

Make the notebook work for you. Layout your Resource Book for quick reference. After the basics, add important school specific information such as organizational chart, frequently asked questions, contact list, or ad slicks. Also, never quit updating your notebook so it is always up to date with federal, state, and local changes.

The Max Knowledge Terms and Definitions. The definition for Advertising and it's scope.

We have a product knowledge book with all the career wheels in it so that we have something to refer to for information.

I utilize a product knowlege notebook that has career wheels for each program of study we offer. This also has graduate disclosure information and the student catalog.
