I haved placed an overview of admissions staff training program the outlines on the Commission for Independent Education inclusing definitions, fair consumer practices, fees and expensures information etc.
I've also read that there is a learning agreement that is drawn up for the students I didnt really know about that before.
1.We can not promise you a job but we can assist you in looking.
2. Transferring credits, is solely up to the recieving institute.
During the interview process, there are certain definitions we give to our students. We discuss the school's accreditation in detail with the student explaining that the accrediting agencies are the individuals who grant our school to participate in federal funding. We note to our students that we are accredited on a national level.
We also discuss different programs that are available for students. A program is made up of all of the courses that a student takes to obtain a degree.
While Financial Aid handles scholarship options and the enrollment process, we do briefly cover those options during our interview, and we do sign the students enrollment agreement.
In our interviews with students, we generally discuss our accreditation, so the students' mind is set to ease about concerns they may have been having. We also discuss with them enrollment into possible programs and go over the options available to them within those programs. Although financial aid deals directly with enrollment agreements, we do sign them during the process. We also go through possible scholarships available.
This a great tool, I keep adding update information in reference to rules and regulations.
The Resource Notebook made looking for accurate answers a consolidated process. Faster access and current info helps ensure I am in compliance.
The most commonly used terms throuougt my admissions process are enrollment agreement, rules & regulations.
I already had a resource notebook that included the school's Organizational Chart, Student Handbook, Employee Handbook, and Faculty Handbook. I also had the school's Phone Directory and The Registrar's Office Procedure Manual.
I've added the Commission for Independent Education Florida Administrative Code Commission Rules, The Rule 6E-2.010,F.A.C., and the Terms and Definitions to resource notebook.

These do not often come up in the enrollent process but the student does need to be aware of knowledgeable of them.
Monique,
It is important that the student understand they are entering into a contract.

The enrollment agreement and the catalog constitute the contract with the student.
