I'm proud of the institution that I work for because our career services department has a very positive and supportive staff. We help our students even after graduation! The ladies in that department set up interviews and assist with resume building. Career services works with admissions by helping to answer questions prospective students may have during the school tour.
Laure ,
Making sure it is the right fit for both the student and the school will give a higher expectation for the student and helps with retention.

It is very important. When we have compliance we are protecting ourselves and our students.

Irene,
Securing knowledge and compliance brings you closer to the ultimate goal. There is no excuse for not knowing and practicing what is set forth in the rules.

my institution offers different programs matching different needs. it is very important to know all the programs to make sure each student is applying to the right program for his/her goal.
Since the institution if fairly new, I'am discovering the importance of compliance to the rules and regulations to set a base foundation for the admission process. it is essential that this information is current and up-to-date in-order to have a successful and compliant institution
The institution is serious about mandating compliance as set forth by the regulating authority. Having this training is a big step to compliance.
Marilyn,
You will find that every institution is different. It comes with its own culture and its own unique set of students.

Megan,
Having a small institution has many advantages in that it is quickly a cohesive unit of staff working for the benefit of the student outcome.

I am still learning alot about the institution I work for. For the most part I feel pretty comfortable. However, I have alot of past experience in this industry that has really helped me in the role I am in now as well as knowing what questions to ask to help me become more successful.
I have only been working = at my institute for a month and I am learning a large amount of information on how the institute is being run. Even though we are a small institute, we are continuously growing and having more interest in what we do. I am fortunate that we are a small institute which allows us as administrators to have a plethora of information available for students. We also work very closely with out teaching staff and they have been a great help with job placement and giving the students a few directions to head once they complete their course.
Bobby,
What a great descriptive! So much as always changing at our campus so it's a great idea to get right out there and experience it to the fullest.

David,
It's a great way to understand and personally experience your school. Sitting in on a class is always a great opportunity.

I have a very good knowledge base about my organization, however, as the day’s progress and as I talk to the different departments I learn that my organization is like a sponge that is in constant motion. Increasing or decreasing in students, staff, budget, marketing strategies and or rules or regulations it never stops. So much to learn and to absorb. Either way, tackling day by day with a positive attitude is what I have discovered works best!
What I have found to help us, pick an instructor/office manager, student service personnel, etc. To go and sit in a class. At the time they are sitting they are also evaluating the class as well the instructors performance, overall class atmosphere, etc. Basically knocking out 2 birds with one stone.
Douglas,
There is a common thread between regulations in different states. This is because many of the regulations are also the same at US DOE and in the accrediting bodies. Same rules different playing field

Ralphael,
Very cool! Having a specialty program is exciting in that students often have a high placement right.

Regina,
Product knowledge is the key component of every admissions conversation. Additionally, knowing the institution and its policies is essential for a positive student experience.

I have been working with this school for many years in different states. The rules in Florida seem to be similar and in some cases identical to the rules in North Carolina. I am learning that many of the things that I require from my admissions representatives are rules here in Florida. It is good to know that we are doing the right thing.
