Cynthia ,
Checklists are a great tool! I use them everyday.

Patty Aronoff

odalys,

A very good process. I often ask them if they have any questions or have them relate back information so that we are on track.

Patty Aronoff

Adrianna,

Excellent! Some schools actually have the student sign the checklist to create a partnership in getting it completed.

Patty Aronoff

Diego,
Excellent! I'd like to hear more of the details.

Patty Aronoff

I always make sure that I have my checklist ready. And I go from there.

I start by introducing my self to the Prospective student and then I ask that please come into my office and from there I go through my checklist. always leaving room for the Prospective Student to ask any questions if they have any.

Same here, It is our job to fully inform prospective students so they understand the requirements to attend our institution

We have a checklist that we go through with the student. Everything on the checklist has to be completed before the student signs the enrollment agreement and starts the program.

Me and my staff have a method of going step by step in the process which i think has been effective since it becomes a daily routine.

Shanna,
Checklists keep us on the same path and provide auditing and accountability.

Patty Aronoff

Brashel,
Awesome! I am a firm believer that admissions should be there from beginning to end.

Patty Aronoff

Jeremy,
All electronic submissions must be secure in order to meet compliance standards.

Patty Aronoff

Jeremy,

Share your knowledge with others. You have a wealth of experience to bring success to those on your team.

Patty Aronoff

Brashel,

The financial aid overview provides the student with good information on funding their education. They need to fully understand their financial responsibilities.

Patty Aronoff

Monique,

Checklists are often used when the process is so involved as enrollment. It assists with compliance and consistency.

Patty Aronoff

Checklists are very helpful. The enrollment process is very detailed to checklists can help keep us on track.

I set the expectation with my students that I will be checking in regularly. These follow up calls or meeting are a great way to make sure the student is progressing and to determine if there are additional needs.

I like that your school estimates what they may be eligiglbe for in funding. We have a financial planning tool that is comprehensive. The Cost of Attedance is spelled out per credit, then per year, then for entire program. After tuition and fees are calculated the student gets to explore options like scholarships, cash, tuitition assistance from employer, grants, and federal funding. The Aim is to make sure the student is an informed and a responsible borrower

Hi Patty,
The application process at my university is completed through an electronic process. There are no more paper documents whatsoever and the student is able to access copies of these documents at any time from their personal computer. Of course I always provide paper copies of the documents during the admissions appointment but it is great to know that the student will always have access to everything they completed with me through admissions process. A secure electronic process ensures that all documents relating to the student remain safe and confidential.

I have worked as an admissions advisor with the same university for the past six years. As a new employee I was provided with a check list to ensure that I was collecting all required admissions documents from a new student and also to make sure I was disclosing all pertinent information. After enrolling 100s of students this process has become almost second nature to me. Of course there are always changes in policies and procedures related to the enrollment process and it is part of my job to ensure that I remain up-to-date with all requirements in order to continually remain compliant.
