I have the same checklist for every student I enroll. It is very useful to help me make sure I am document tracking & getting things in on a timely manner.

I also have a checklist, that goes in the student file. And I give the student a check list, so that way they can keep track of what they have turned in and what they still need to turn in.

We also use a check list in our enrollment process to be sure the file is complete with all the necessary documents. The check list is not only helpful for the Admission Rep, but for the Admission Coordinator and Education to assure that nothing is missing.....it's very helpful!

When the student has completed the enrollment paperwork, we go through a checklist before it is submitted to be processed. At that point, a second (and sometimes third) set of eyes makes sure everything that is required in the file has been accounted for.

During my enrollment process I usually take about 45 minutes with each student. At this time we go over the school enrollment check list and also ask the student what they are looking to achieve and why they wish to pursue courses at our school. I try to make sure they really understand the commitment to our courses because they are rigorous and we don't want them to drop out or fail. Most times if I feel there could be a learning barrier I will assess the clients ability to make absolute sure they are in the right course for there continued success. This has really helped me in retention and placement at the end. Setting expectations and understanding your client is a win win!

We have packets of enrollment paperwork ready for use that includes a checklist. When enrolling a student I carefully fill out all of the forms with the student. I then use the checklist to make sure there are no forms missing. I also fill out all the forms in blue ink so I do not confuse the origianl file with the copied file for the student since we need to keep all original forms. I then submit the folder to the enrollment coordinator who is our receptionist to enter into the system.

!. Student completes enrollment packet
2. Student meets Admission Director
3. Student meets with Financial Aid

We all have an applicant checklist ready and waiting to be filled out in order to always be on point. This way, nothing is ever missed

Im sure as other schhols we use an Admissions check list. They follow that all the way down until everything is checked and signed off. once this is complete everything is reviewed by the Director of Admisions to make sure everything is in order and filled out.

Paul,
Very interesting point. You are providing opportunity for reflection and assurance that the student understands. Awesome!

Thomas,

Excellent! It also gives assurance that every representative is doing the same process.

Linda ,

A great communication tool with the student is the checklist. They can quickly understand what is required and what is due.

allison,
Checklists are also a great auditing tool as you are using it. It gives a quick overview of what is due and what has been completed.

Pedro,
Checklists are a great tool! When you involve the student in the checklist, they are part of the enrollment process and can assist you in getting the information that you need on time.

I also use a check list system. It keeps me on track with all required documents needed at the time of enrollment. It is also what I call a stop and listen step. By that I mean at collection you stop and explain each document to the perspective student and or family.

We have a ten step check list that is mandatory to use during the enrollment process. This helps to make sure you don't forget anything.

There is a checklist given and we go over every step with the student to ensure they understand at the very beginning.

Enrollment process at our school is done with a check off list. Our admissions reps MUST follow this list down the line. Once the paperwork is complete it is reviewed by our Director of Admissions to make sure that all lines are filled out completely and all blanks are filled out "n/a", we also do an interview with the students to make sure this is what they want to do (for retention purposes also)once this is complete the files then goes to the registrar for dta entry.

Our College has created a Check List that we review. While we are with the Student on what we have discussed. There is also a check list were we check off all the Documents that are needed for each particular Program and of course all documents needed for enrollment.

Debbie,
Checklists are a great tool to ensure compliance. Checklists provide us a quick glimpse of what is in the folder, what is missing, and what is completed.
