Our school has regular training and retraining in order to make sure we are in compliance with all necessary rules. The good thing is this is ongoing and we are always looking at ways to make representatives successful and compliant.

The incorporation of our companies disclosures is the best proven method to ensure compliancy, consistancy and up-to-date information for our persective customers. These along with the necessary catalog addendums provides the most compliant recruitment to date.

I have worked at two different schools that have had this happen, and we went about it very similar to other schools that have already answered. We have taken great measures to be sure it is posted on our website, and when students meet with reps on campus or on the phone, they are given financial aid counseling )an entrance and exit interview) to ensure they are aware of all the guidelines, laws, etc.

Our school also has us break down individual costs of each segment so there are no surprises to the students. A literal breakdown of each charge so that the student clearly knows what is in thier tution and related charges.

Our school has done the same. They have a website where you can go get specific info about graduation rates, placement rates, total costs of the program and so forth. Also, they have put stickers on many things as well giving the web address they can go to so they can get this information.

Mine has as well. They have developed a special department just for all of the rules and regulations.

The U.S. Department of Education Department, proposed a host of new regulations for higher education program integrity and student aid. The program Integrity Rules, intended to curb perceived abuses of taxpayer money and protect unwary students. The publication of these rules followed a contentious round of negotiated rulemaking during which the federal government consulted with constituents to draft or revise new rules—held by the Department of Education from the rules.

Derek,

It is great that your school is taking these steps to make sure all departments stay informed.

The school that I work for has had several meetings to address the newly inducted policies and procedures. From time to time, the admissions department is quizzed on the information just to make sure that they are retaining it. My school has been very proactive with spreading the knowledge of these new regulations throughout the entire campus, just to act as a support system to the admissions department.

Absolutly, with all the changes we now have on-line training and a compliance test that must be passed to retain your possition

if it is the rules about financial aid we sure did

Our school has created new initiatives to comply with the new rules

The school I represent has taken the "high road". We practice what we preach. Students first, last and always.

The school I work for has included stickers also. These stickers give our students updated information on our financial aid programs. It also includes a web site for additional information.

I was laid off March 2011 but I heard of these changes, but was not there to see them implemented. I think the posting of cost should be standard and glad it is now.

I am a new employee, but during my orientation, it is to my knowledge that meetings are put into place to discuss any changes to keep everybody up to date. This is very important because it will allow everybody to be up-to date on new and upcoming policies. This will also allow admission reps. to continue to be involved in the most professional way possible.

Our school as well breaks down all the information which does take the pressure off the reps.

I agree! All the information we have now posted on the website, slicks ,cataloge ect. help so much in breaking down the cost/total program. The student is now prepared for the Finacial planning side of their education and understanding of the program right from the beginning. This allows us to help the student to the best of our abilty.

I see alot more disclosures than I did 5 years ago. I believe the rule changes are a great way to keep us in check. Over the years many changes have come along that have made the proprietary business stronger and more knowledgeable of what a great entity we really are. The detailed training I have had at this school is more in depth then I have ever seen in the past. 25 years ago we said "do it right, know your school, dont lie to your students" today there are discussions, training, more training, testing and certifications.

As a new employee I have just started the process however there will be discussion of new federal rules.
