We do much training and constant updating..
Our school has done a comprehensive job of including thisinformation on the website and in our catalogs. In addition we are required to attend weekly training sessions regarding all phases of the institution.
The school has added the information to our website and prospected students can view them off the website. The information includes estimated cost, etc.
Yes, our school has implemented changes into our daily practices. Those Changes include courses new ADAs must complete and pass.
yes My school has and it has been very helpful
Our school has offered workshops to our employees and students so that everyone is more informed on financial aid processes and regulations. Our admissions department and financial aid department have worked closely to understand the new federal regulations.
Yes the current school i work for keeps up to date on all the new info mandated by the fed govt
Tiffany,
I like to see new updates on the school website. This allows the student access to any updates and information prior to their meetings with their Admssions rep. In addition, updates on programs and costs, keep the student or potential student aware of their overall cost of education and knowing the changes ahead of time. I believe this opens the opportunity for discussion to take place regarding any concerns, prior to admission into a program.
It seems that several schools are implementing new training to support new policies. I am new at the school where I am currently employed, however, I have worked at another school that went through new training techniques after certain policies were released. This keeps everyone abreast on the changes, therefore, allowing representatives to give accurate information to potential and current students.
I am at the same school as Kelly and find the information sheet (with the web links) to be very helpful. We go over the information, which is very complete, which satisfies the students. They also have it as a "take away" in their packet to refer to for further research. We also share the actual costs, as Kelly has mentioned.
Our school has done the same thing with the stickers. It's a great way for students to get the information they need while looking into programs! The graduation and placement rate information are some of the things that attrack prospective students to our school.
Yes, we are aware of the new rules and regulations, Thank You!
Great point, I actually think a bit of both is a great idea; however, one must be serious about aquiring the information. It could be a slippery slope
I prefer to get a person to the experts. This allows us to be safe and compliant
The great thing about our organization is that we were preparing for many of the rules. This may the transition seamless.
We have instituted a free tutoring program to those individuals in our community who are without an high school diploma, or g.e.d. Which i feel is so useful and needed. With such a high rate of high school drop-outs, it's a start to building confidence, and ambition.
Our school has regular updates to all rules changes and ensures understanding across the board. There are regular updates that come out to all associates highlighting changes and how they effect our organization and how we will implement new processes to ensure compliance and timely adherence.
Chris,
I like what you are doing and believe that focussing more attention on the process is the correct way to approach things. The monthly observations allow you to correct mistakes and improve the methods being used by advisors. I also like that your school has provided the information on all of their marketing material I think that goes a long way in the minds of prospective students.
That's a good idea. We are making sure any new changes are discussed right away. It's important to always stay up on any changes or additions when they are instituted.
Our school has added the Orientation to be completed within the first two weeks. I think this will be very beneficial for the student in terms of committment and information.
