our school has added to our website. It is really working out well. It helps the reps out alot during the enrollment process.
Sarah,
I believe MaxKnowledge has some courses that are focused on the federal rule changes that went into effect in 2011 so you may want to look into those courses. Also, there is plenty of information available on the internet that discusses the rule changes that you may want to review.

No I was not aware that there were new rules that were just applied in July. We are focusing on the rules and regulations based off of 2010 version. Do you have any recommendations on training for the new federal rules and what are the new rules?
They have. I can see where being vigilant about compliance can save time, and avoid costly mistakes down the road.
Yes our school has attended training as we have Title IV and we found it very helpful especially with our website. The more informed a potential student is when he comes into admissions the easier and more effective admissions can be.
My school has made the course catalog available online so prospective students have that information available to them anytime.
Information is available on our school's web site. It is a great resource to for potential students as many do alot of online research when they start looking at schools.
Yes we are always trying to keep updated with new regulations and laws that may change from time to time.
Our school has done that also but we actually show them where the information is and they can keep a copy as well.
We make sure that we offer every student our disclosures forms up front. We are all about the student now which is awesome!
Richard,
I agree, we should avoid a comparison to other schools. We don't know when and/or if there are changes happening at another school with tuition etc. leaving the printed materials outdated and simply a waste of $.
It is better to avoid that so as not to appear that you're being negative about another school or program.
John:
It seems as if all of our schools have made the proper changes when the new rules and regulations came out. I have noticed that it allows my reps to have structure and remain compliant. This also allows for a more fluent conversation with our students as our students are able to take a look at our institution and make a more informed decision.
Thanks!
Erica
I am a new rep I feel that having monthly meetings to be kept abreast of new federal rules and changes would be highly beneficial. I feel we have implemented that here curerntly.
Our schools program cost is broken down in the catalog and the website. Our retention rate and graduation rate we have on a seperate handout. We go over those handouts when we meet with the prospects during the enrollment process.
Training was provided to all staff on the new requirements. Since we are an online campus, Consumer Information Guides are provided on our website and are also shared with potential students during their initial introduction (demo) to the online platform.
Our school is very transparent and list all student disclosures, courses, catalog, etc on the website
I am a new rep to my school and they are part of my initial training
Our school has developed new training to accomodate the new federal regulations.
Our school does compliance training and we discuss not misleading students, costs of tuition and fees etc.
As a presenter/recruiter the changes haven't had a direct effect on my job duties. The changes have been discussed with us.
