Since I am working at a new campus that has yet to open, I will have to keep the info in my binder updated. New employees, new materials, and changes in roles. I will also be including all of our marketing materials, forms, school catalog etc. The more info the better!
I have placed the required material but I see an opportunity to compile additional information that I can reference in the future and it will be at my fingertips! Great resource!
I have just started my resource notebook. I am not an admissions rep, I am a high school presenter. I do not discuss the college or programs. I discuss training topics such as interviewing skills, personality profiles, etc. However, the info that I have seen thus far is very helpful...especially since my position is so independent.
The Resource Notebook is an excellent training tool and it has made me aware of several guidelines that agents must follow in order to be successful.
Having all the information that you need handy in the notebook is extremely helpful and useful.
I have placed contact information as well as regulations needed to enroll someone correctly.
Our company does this also. It is helps alot.
I have already been using a resource notebook with all apporiate information.
Keeping a resource notebook is a great way to stay organized and have information at your finger tips.
One item i added to my resource book is an organizational chart.
The Resource Notebook is an excellent way to stay current on rules and regulations. I have begun compiling my notebook. I have added a copy of the catalog and enrollment agreement to my notebook. The admissions representative regulatory laws and rules are also great references that I have added to my notebook. One thing I have learned that is important is that admissions officers should not be referred to as counselors. While some students assume this is our role, it is important to know the difference and not overstep out boundaries.
I think the resource notebook is fantastic and a must for any admissions representative. We are a small school that has just introduced an admissions department in the last year and I feel this notebook will make sure we have the best informed admissions team in our industry.
I have policies and procedures, state regulations, brochures, and enrollment agreements in the resource notebook. The resource notebook is a good tool to have as a job aide.
Throughout this training, I feel that I have inquired so much more knowledge. As far as the resource notebook, I felt that this was very much needed because I have the information I need in my hand.
I have added all the program offerings, state regulations, and proper pricing information in my resource notebook. It has become a very helpful tool to have accessible on my desk at anytime.
I have placed the OH guidelines for each different degree program that can be offered in the state of OH.
I think it is a great idea to incorporate this information into a binder. My company hands us information in a nice package to keep on our desk.
I have placed a variety of different items in my notebook. The main things that I have placed in it are reminders and cue as to where I can go if I need additional information.
I have placed definitions and regulations that can revoke an agent permit in my notebook. I didn't know that teachers did not have to aquire an agent permit. I was also not aware that you only have to register with the State Board once then do continuing education. I don't recall seeing a specific time period that a violator loses his or her permit for before it can be reenstated.
I have placed all of the info in a big binder so I can keep it for future reference. We have been taught really well and I feel that I have at least a little knowledge of the rules and reg's.
I also think that it is important to have this type of information ready to show students that we are a school who abide by rules set forth by State of Ohio.
