Does every school need a Career Services Department? Can the admissions official be the one that guides the student throughout the work seeking process?

Is the student lounge needed for every school system in Florida. Particularly small private schools like a Beauty School for example?

Career services is a great resource even for students who are new students, they can get help with putting together a resume, advise on professional dress codes, and what to expect in the work place. If a school does not have a career service, do they have a required precentage of thier schools graduates that must be placed?

Can a School administer a forgien language test without using an admissions test as well? It's hard to determine a prospective students level of English comprehnsive during an interview process.

Can someone please tell me why a person outside the age of 18-to-23 and 1/2 can not have the same opertunity to get enough financial assistance to go to a trade school which is acredited and title IV. The above age bracket only gets it threw parent plus loan???

I know CIE provides guidance to remain compliant for post secondary institutions, but one lower. what about trade schools that are accredited and title IV. There are many differences between the two, but in order to be compliant, trade schools must mimic the secondary schools even when one has nothing to do with the other in general.

Can I use my ipad as the resourse notebook, and if so how do I make sections so I can find info quickly?

On the first day of class we present to students the importance of being well prepared for such demanding market. One of the main topics is the importance of having all required documentations ready to start on the field, and to be available on the market as soon as possible. We list different web sites and places for the students to look for jobs. All this documentations are presented to students at graduation day, with the assurance that we are here to assist them with any of their needs and to guide them to a successful carrier. I see this two days, first day of class and the graduation day, as a new beginning of a carrier path that they can make the difference for themselves. We are just tools used by them to achieve their objective. We encourage students to visit us for any additional questions and concerns. I have a special part of my notebook to present the material to all students at the last day. This is a way that I use to empathize that they will make a difference on their professional carrier. We also have introduce at the school the suggestion box and what all the staff does ids to get together and collect all the information to discuss the topics we find interesting for the school growth and to better assist new students.

We are passionate about education, training, job placement and giving back to the community through service because the future of our children and society as a whole is questionable. With all intensions of opening a job placement company to help our institution accomplish such, I was surprised to see that institutions can advertise placement and career services without having a full staff. Instead, can "simply contain books and forms for the student to use and to complete on their own" or "just a list of jobs posted on a board." This was interesting for me because I have attended schools that as a marketing tool, advertised job placement. On two occasions, I was able to get internship and employment only because I achieved the highest grade. I thank God for that but feel bad for my former colleagues that were never able to obtain employment (and never worked in the field) yet went to that particular school because they thought placement was certain.

Although we have paying students, please advise me as to which are the best institutions to seek financial aid for new students.

Alexander, Yes, it is required by the regs. Both documents have different purposes but together they constitute the contract between the student and the school.

Do you believe that schools should take the risk and only use word of mouth as advertisement? Schools should really take their time and spend their money building a reputable, trusting and lasting relationship with each and every individual student that attends their school because it pays off in the long run.At the facility where I am employed believe it or not their only form of advertisement is "word of mouth" which allows them to use the money that would be spent on marketing on something else.
