What is happening?

Why is it so difficult for faculty to see themselves serving more than the teaching role? many seem to know they are mentors and provide students care and attention and others...feel they do not need to add extra time to their day. What is happening?

The student needs more time from the Educator, and make the class more fun, also they need more support from the teacher, and the staff "Counseling" all the time, if we make that happens and all the Campus "We gone to make the difference" Thank you.

I am glad that this section brought up the importance of a school advertising itself appropriately. I worked for many years at a college that I felt did not present a truthful face through its Admissions materials, and many students suffered as a result. A big contributor to the problem was a strong lack of quality interaction between the faculty and the administrative staff. Making sure everyone involved in the hierarchy has the same expectations can go a long way to preventing student alienation.

hi my name is mr leal I give the first day oratation. I welcome the student to the school with warm and happeness on that day a that they have 12 months of learning and happy times and bad times but it will be more happy then sad. As a teacher for 25yrs I give 100% to the student as well to the staff member BSA.

In our business model of education, teachers either focus on teaching only and little else as adults should be able to motivate themselves. How can you change the climate and instill accountability?

What do you do to make the student feel engaged? Interacting with students and making them accountable is the key to making them want to come back. If a student feels that you care and you want them to succeed they will respect you and the school. It a partnership! Any thought or other comments you have that would help retention?

I welcome the students into the class by using their first and last name. I create an open atmosphere so that the student feels comfortable with me and feel free to ask for any help needed. I try to find out the students strong point in regards to their knowledge and interests. I feel that once this type of connection is created, the student will be able to learn and participate in my classroom projects.
