It important to be organized and prepared for class because it sets an example for the students. If you are there and prepared as the students enter the classroom it allows you to start on time and cover all of the material that you need to cover.

reading on the material before class starts is a good way to get organized. that way you are familiar with the topics that are going to be taught, so you arent stumbling!

It builds confidence in the instructor. If the students walk into a class that is set up and ready to go, it shows that the instructor is invested in their success.
