I have placed better/ more updated contact and admin lists to ensure I have the latest information.

i have put my certificates, student handbook and catalog

I have placed Commission rules and regulations...I'm still training for a new position in Admissions and everything is new to me at this time.

Having the resource notebook will indefinately allow me to keep all new guidelines and procedures close by as they are needed without having to go into the internet and open up the guidelines. I feel as if the notebook will be a great aide to my success in admissions.

In my resource book, I have palced different rules that I must obtain to, during my time of employment. Some of the things that I have learned are the most repetitive statement about how you cant assure any student that they will be guarenteed anything or placed in any particular area.

Anette,
Keeping it simple is really the best way, being careful not to be condescending in nature.

Anette,
Definitions sometimes do seem like a foreign language.

Annette,
Both the catalog and the enrollment agreement constitute the contract with the student.

Accreditation: a process in which certification of competency, authority, or credibility is presented. The goal of accreditation is to ensure that education provided by institutions of higher education meets acceptable levels of quality. Each Institute is either authorized or licensed by the state in which it is located and is accredited by or in the process of seeking accreditation from an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Enrollment Agreement: The Enrollment Agreement is a contract between you and the Institution. It states the terms and provisions of your enrollment in a program of study at the school. The enrollment agreement is a required document and when signed by the student (and/or parent or legal guardian) and the institution, it is a legally binding agreement.

It is very important to be very detailed when enrolling.Information should be given in its simplest form and be very precise. Job Placements is always is always a word used a lot due to the economy, class cmmencement and program outline.

People think at different levels. When doing enrollment you have to be careful of the words used, i think the process shold be used in simple terms so the applicants can have an easy understanding of what to expect .

It is important to be speaking the same language because the new students would likely be hearing the same words commencing the program.

Enrollment: Registering a student to take programs or courses at an institution and when registration takes place , the student pays a tuition and is provided instruction from the school.

Enrollment Agreement: A legally binding contract that is signed by the institution. The contract forms the agreement to the terms and conditions of the institution and provides disclosures of important policies which is signed by the applicant.

thank you!

Tracy,
Rule changes can happen any time during the year. I would suggest that you check the CIE website monthly for alerts.

Darlene,
The title is terrific.

Phoebe,
Accreditation is a great stamp of approval beyond the state.
