Lauren,
Understanding the refund policy must be thorough. Even we like to think this is an issue that never comes up, it shows when a student withdraws and what the financial impact of the decision brings.
Kimberly,
We recommend this process of having the notebook in order to provide the resources you need, when you need them.
We have a resource notebook that is actually started at our home office for "official" training so all new admissions reps have it to start with. What I wasn't aware of was that we had to go over the complete refund policy with each student.
Accreditation-Accrediting agencies provide volunteer memebership for institutions and act as gatekeepers for federal funding program participation if they are approved and recognized by the US department of education.
Institution-Any college univeristy or postsecondary career institution under the jurisdiction of the commission as provided in charpter 1005, F.S.
Enrollment-Registering a student to take programs or courses at an institution when such registration obligates the student to pay tuition to the institution to provide intruction to the student.
Program-A presdcribed group of couses, taken in the proper sequence to attain mastery of a body of knowledge or set of skills and leading to a certificate or degree.
On the top of my list is accreditation.
We take pride in that and follow all rules and regulations to ensure that we continue with it.
Our admissions staff are referred to as admissions associates.
Enrollment here means that a student has submitted all documents, completed all test requirements, submitted proof of education and completed the financial packaging process.
I have everything that was recomended in the module as well as information that is specific to our programs such as FAQ's and other resources that need to be readily available. In regards to keeping up to date on any changes to the rules and regulations is there a recomended time frame as to when I should be checking for those (ie. every month, every quarter, twice a year)? Thanks!
Enrollment Date is the date the student completes and signs the enrollment agreement. Class Start date is the date the actual course begins. Anticipated ending date is the date the class is scheduled to end.
Why school - Why Now -...I ask the student why today did you decide to take the step of coming in to talk to me and how long have you been thinking about going to school?
