What information have you placed in your Resource Notebook? What have you discovered that you didn't know about the institution or the rules and regulations it must abide by?

I have placed in my notebook my reference guide in how to use the notebook. My terms and Definitions, Financial Aid, Tution Assistance, and Refunds. I also have Organizing and filing information, Organizational Strructure, Policies, and Pocedures. I also added Educational Programs,Advertising and Marketing,Obtaining Up -to-Date information, Licensing and Accreditaitonand other regulator bodies, and Transferability of Credis.

In my resource notebook I placed the student catalog, policies/procedures, approved marketing material, Enrollment Agreement, accreditations, and detailed course info.
It highlights how critical training is in order to communicate new/revised regulations in order to stay compliant.

I agree the binder helps you to be more efficient in your daily tasks. I also keep Admissions information pertinent to my school available. This way we can ensure students receive the most accurate information.

First and foremost a Resource Notebook will help keep a representative organized. In my Resource Notebook, I have information on the programs and basic financial aid information, but I now see the importance of having documents handy such as the enrollment agreement, student handbook, accreditation info, ect.. Having the most current and accurate information at all times only makes us more credible and professional.

One of the big things that I thought was important to add was the answers to the FAQ that students have and also provide 'Notes' for questions that come up on occation I feel are relevant to other students. I also may come upon a question I do not know the answer to, then I can find the answer and return to the student with correct answer. I also have a copy of our Student Catalog and Student Handbook in there.

The recommended items are in my notebook. I did take the advice to review all materials as I placed each in the notebook. It helps when discussing specific material with prospective students to be confident in the knowledge we are presenting. If I have questions I am not able to address, I have my resource notebook to find the material or the appropiate staff member who can help assist the student and his/her questions. All in all, this is a very helpful tool which I can build upon and update as needed.

In my resources notebook, I have a variety of information. I have my school catalog, rules and regulations as they are updated. Mine also contains program information and specific examples of the types of courses a student might take in a particular program. I also have a staffing chart in mine as well. This gives me a quick go to guide if I have a specific question that is asked of me that I really need more of an expert answer.
With regards to the institution or the rules, this is an ever changing phenomenon. My resource notebook is a helpful tool in which I can place the most current and up to date policies for my viewing.

The Resource Notebook will enable me to organize all of the information recieved. This will give me an easy acess to the information provided.

I have a placed a varity of informational materials in my Resource Notebook. Some of which include my schools enrollment agreement, the accrediation, and various marketing materials. I have learned that my school additional information about my schools cancellation policy that I was not aware of previously. It will be helpful to have this information in the future.

I have quick reference material in my notebook and refer to it as needed. I did not learn anything new with the first module since I have been in this business awhile and understand the ethics involved with being a admission rep.

I have placed the Agents/Admissions Reps Regulatory Laws/Rules in my personal notebook. I also have a copy of enrollment agreements and disclosures for each of our programs in my notebook. I was already aware of these rules.

I didn't realize that so much was put into each states licensure programs. This is great information and it helps with having the knowledge at your finger tips. Thanks for the idea!

In my resourse Notebook, I have placed a copy of the student catalog, Enrollment agreement and Org. chart.

I have placed everything from frequently asked questions, to topics we should avoid to the student handbook and school catalog. It's definitely helped me to undersetand what I can and cannot say to prospective students. The main concern for us is knowing what we are allowed to say in regards to compliance.

So far I have placed in my Resource Notebook everything that was listed in the section Creating and Using a Resource Notebook, a copy of the latest Administrative Rule Review dated March 30th, 2011, and Copy of Ohio Revised Code Chapter 3332 Career Colleges and Schools.

I have readily available the schools Admissions Representative Maual which contains alot of the information you cover in this section. I obtained a copy of the Student Handbook which covers material mentioned that students may ask about.

I have a better understanding now of why paperwork we use in the field goes through constant revision, why we must read an introduction statement when we meet with a family in the home which specifically states our purpose for meeting with them. I learned that the structure is there to protect not only the student and their family, but the institution and the agent as well. If I, as an Agent follow the rules as stated in the Code it mantains the integrity of the institution and professionalism of the Agent.

The resource notebook is a great reference, there is always so much to remember on a daily basis and when you're working in education it is vital to represent your school accurately. So to be able to use the links and the websites to access that information is extremely helpful.
