I like the idea of the notebook. I put in the Ohio Rules and Regulations for Admissions Agents and the overview and requirements for this training.

I love the idea of having a Resource Notebook! Keeping one makes sure that the information we are sharing with our students is updated and accurate. Its very convenient having the catalog, enrollment agreement, organizationl chart etc. in one binder for my use!

I agree, I believe that a resource notebook is a great idea. It will help to have rules, regulations and terminology at your fingertips, when needed.

I have found my Resource Notebook very effective in my day-to-day training. I am able to access it when asked questions not only by teachers, but students and other co-workers. I think it is a great way to have everything available for anyones knowledge who may not be as familiar with all the rules and regulations in Ohio.

I also think by having this information we are able to reinforce our creditbilty and provide the needed information for proper enrollment and admissions.

My Resource Notebook currently consists of the following items:
1. School Catalog
2. Program/Course descriptions - product knowledge
3. Financial Aid information (loans, grants, scholarships)
3. Features and Benefits of Campus
4. Overview and Purpose of the interview process
5. Career Services information
6. Ohio Rules and regulations for Admissions Agents
7. Admissions programs training guide
8. Enrollment Agreement

My Resource Notebook is growing daily as I have the opportunity to advance through the training process. I previously worked in Admissions in another state and am pleased to learn about the rules and laws enforced by the state of Ohio. Rules and regulations are necessary when providing information to people choosing a career path. I have learned my institution takes great pride in providing a quality educaton to those who meet the requirements. The training I am receiving is very detailed with many layers. Upon completion of this process, I will have the knowledge to provide current and accurate information to prospective students and to do so within the rules and laws governing the state of Ohio.

I have place all new placement stats and accredidation information in my notebook

Michelle,

Each permit allows you to solicit prospective students for a specific school. Each school is approved seperately and seperate permits need to be obtained so that the Board can monitor which school(s) the agent is working for.

The resource notebook can be very large for those of us who travel. I suggest using a flash drive and saving on it every document that can be downloaded.

Catalog, Admissions Officer Manual with Policies and Procedures, Forms needed for enrollment.

Our school is very good at updating us on the latest changes to rules and regulations that we need to properly proceed in assisting students with their enrollments.

The resource notebook is a great tool to keep organized and have critical information available.

That's an excellent idea. Giving the correct information is so vital.

I have a 3 ring binder that I keep all important information about my school. I keep it in my car so when I get a difficult question from a student I can access it so I know I'm giving them the correct information!

That was new to me as well, Rosemary. I agree that the course was helpful to keep us up to date on state regulations.

I have made a Resource Notebook with all forms and booklets that apply to admissions and enrollment. I also have the campus catalog and student guidelines in ours. I will be adding a section for printouts from this training and other rules and regulations that are relevant to my school. Thanks for the great ideas, it will be really helpful to have eveything in one place at our fingertips.

I learned that the agent does have to repply for licensure. I also thought we only had to apply for renewal.

Catalog, enrollment agreement, marketing materials, placement information, financial aid information, acreditation information.

I keep a folder to organize all the information I must know. There are some rules I was not aware of when I initially started. For example, I did not know that people outside of the state contacting potential students in Ohio needed a permit.

I agree! I do the training of reps for our campuses and this notebool will be invaluable in that process!

Everything I have learned thru the four modules that I did not know before I have combined for future refrence in my Resource Notebook. I never realized how in depth the Ohio Board regulations went. I have always been familiar with how our institution is run, but have found useful information after learning more about the Ohio Board rules/regulations.

I love my resource notebook. It has become my bible! I have put all the laws and regulations as well as my schools catalog, EA, procedure and all other information given to me from the college. I learned how indepth and knowledgable you, as an agent, have to be in order to be compliant with the laws put in place by the state.

As a new admissions representative I believe the resource notebook is an essential reference. Not only does the notebook include important state laws and regulations, but it includes my school's catalog, enrollment agreement as well as other important information pertaining to my college.
