Our institution has continuous training with current and new employees to any changes in the regulatory environment.
We go over compliance weekely in our trainings keeps everything fresh in our heads.
They have made sure all parties are responsible for knowing state/federal guidelines in regards to the positions they may hold. This ensures that the departments are aware and knowledgeable about all requirements.
We hold meetings when necessary with staff to keep abreast of state and federal regulations and any changes. We also provide students with disclosures so they understand all program information and also given a copy for their reference and in meeting school compliance. In today's world it is a must to cross all the t's and dot all the i's so there's no guesswork or misunderstandings and everything is on the up-and-up.
We believe in regular training and hired a compliance officer. We conduct admissions personnel weekly meetings to ensure that everybody stays in compliance.
we also use disclosure form. We require that the stedent read then and affirm that they undertand the content before signing. We have checks and balances in place....
We have a code of conduct which we sign, continually update and review. Violation of the code of conduct can result in terminate. We are very sensitive to this matter.
In my opinion, it is very important to have regular meetings of staff and faculty and discuss rules and regulations to make sure that everyone is aware of new regs and compliance issues.
To encourage institution-wide compliance and integrity with state, federal, and/or accreditation regulations, my institution provides year-round training including compliance forums, discussions, calls, as well as tests that must be passed in order to be employed with the institution. We also have management come into the field with us to ensure that all representatives are maintaining in compliance.
Sharon ,
I think this is a great practice. Glad to hear your school is doing this.

We actually have shoppers that call in and come into interviews to monitor that we are being compliant and grades us on it.
Our institution places compliance as a priority that ALL STAFF is expected to adhere to. In addition to a thorough admissions process and disclosure forms, there are internal secret shoppers who may pop in at any time.
Our Organization has many company wide meetings, webinars, and conference calls to cover all compliance areas. We also have a test that each representative has to take every quarter which is based on compliance issues. This insures the representatives not only stay up to date with any and all compliance issues but they are also more aplt practic on a consistant basis.
"Admissions Do's & Don't's" when it comes to discussing Financial Aid; Transferring of Credits, Graduation & employment outcomes, etc.
Monitoring calls, adhering to scripts, continued training.
Our campus has made every effort to get each staff member training on the new regulations. In fact in every staff meeting (10 minutes each day) we are reminded that we work in a highly regulated field and we are not to compromise our integrity and that of our college.
We always stress that our entire staff and faculty be open and honest with students and direct them to offical documents and government sites if they have questions about specific numbers. For example, we guide them to the Bureau of Labor Statistics website for employment information.
Our institution also has very strict guidlines for admissions and other departments to follow. We not only have guidlines and meetings but we are continually being shopped by our inhouse people.
We also follow all guidelines and we are held accountable following all compliance issues and conducting ourselves professionally when working with students
We are continually reminded of Compliance issues and it is not only the integrity of the school, but my integrity as a representative. I feel involving other departments to assist a potential student in getting a question answered not only shows that we are doing our best to get the proper or most current information, but is shows that we work as a team. This show compliance and integrity throughout the entire departments during the application process.
We also provide a series of disclosure forms amking sure we cover everything we need to. I always provide copies fo all the paperwork we do. I think it is important if you don't know an answer to a question that a prospective student may ask, always ask seek out the correct answer, don't just guess.
