Thank you for sharing your process. Making sure the students are prepared to take the coursework is critical when English is not their first language.

Check list is crucial to comply with all documents and requirements in the enrollment process
Enrollment process is done electronically for the most part. There are specific paper works that need to be done for consumers that. For these type of processes, it is important to have a detailed check list to follow.
An entrance exam is given to ensure that the student meets the requirement and is fluent in the English language. After the exam is graded, based on the results, it will note whether the student is qualified to proceed to the application and enrollment process. The application form comes with a checklist that ensures that all required paperwork is received. Upon enrollment that checklist and paperwork is inspected and thoroughly documented and then additional paperework is given and documented as well. Financial arrangements are dealt with at this time and contracts are signed. Each student has a binder in which all their paperwork is placed in upon completion and updated as needed on a regular basis. This checklist and all paperwork is based on the CIE requirement. The binder is also labeled so that it is organized and easily visible upon inspection, so time management is possible and minimized.
Application Process:
• Submit your completed application and $50 processing fee by the applicant due date. We recommend you send your application via registered or certified mail.
• Official transcripts from all previous colleges and universities are required and must be submitted to the University directly from the issuing institution.
• Include any materials that may strengthen your application, explain weaknesses, or address other special considerations.
• Once your application has been received, it is reviewed by the Student Services Office staff. You will be notified via email about the status of your application. Please note that if any required documentation is missing, processing of your application may be delayed.
• Following the review, selected qualified applicants are invited to attend an on-campus, personal interview. During the interview visit, a short written essay and other tests may be administered.
• Following the interview applicants are notified of their acceptance, provided a catalog, student handbook and enrollment agreement that must be returned within 30 days with a $500 tuition deposit.

The enrollment steps are as follows:
An acceptance letter is given. The student is given a tour of the facility. The new student meets with the various staff at the institution. A school catalog, a student handbook is provided. The student is informed of orientation; the date and time which is a formal setting where all new students meet. Books and resources are provided on orientation. Records of student file is kept both electronic and in paper format. The new student is provided with copies of signed document.
I follow a checklist to make sure that we have everything for admission. First the prospective students completes the application. We then require them to submit official transcripts from every college/university that they have attended. If they have never been to school they must submit a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. If the student studied in a foreign country they must provide an approved translated and evaluated copy of their transcripts. Finally we require our students to write an admissions essay. All of these documents are kept in a paper file. The transcripts are evaluated for each student by the records department and we provide a transfer evaluation. Once that is complete and all of the documentation is there we can accept the student.
I think checklist are great to. I have a checklist and it helps me to remember and follow all the steps
We always use a checklist in order to maintain regulatory consistency and accuracy. The checklist helps us stay on track and makes sure we provide the best service to the student.
Kimberly,
At is awesome! Your school has taken the checklist to new heights. It really involves the student.

When a prospect first inquires about our program, I include an Admissions Checklist and I continue to send/resend that checklist highlighting any items that the prospect has completed. Doing this keeps prospects aware of where they stand in the admissions process. If they have not successfully completed any component of the admissions process. They are alerted immediately.
For example, if they do not meet the minimum GPA requirement, that section of the Admissions Checklist and Student Handbook are highlighted for their reference.
We utilize a checklist as well. However, before we even get to the checklist we make sure we have the degree program that the student is seeking and it matches up with what they want to do and let them make and educated decision. I tell all my potential students to do their homework first.
