Relevance into the classroom

It is important to be relevance into the classroom. Teaching students what you have learned in the industry is very important so they can really see how it is. They can learn from what you have learned and maybe even learn from your mistakes. Using real life situations will keep your students engaged. How do you keep them interested? Always asking questions or explaining the many roles in their field of study.

Motivation

It is very important to keep your class motivated about the subject you are teaching and motivated to learn. How can you do this? Using what is going on today and bringing real facts to the class will not only open your students eyes but they will see that they are learning real life situations they can use in the work place when they receive their degrees.

Syllabus as a well plan

It is very important to make sure your syllabus is up to date and that you are following it. If you have to, you can make changes as the class moves along but make sure each student receives an updated copy. How can you be sure the student is using the updated syllabus? Refer to it in class and upload it where students can access it. this will help you stay organized and professional.

New Instructor

As a new instructor, you should always be in tune to how your class is receiving you and the information you are trying to teach them. How do you know if someone isn't following along? As questions and get your class involved.

Artwork

I teach at a school where several instructors use the same classroom. As a result, artwork, posters, etc. that may work for one class, might not be the best for another. Any suggestions for posters in a shared class?

Using different types of tests?

Do you feel that using different types of tests is beneficial and can keep students challenged?

Students without any reading skills

I had an adult student that could not read at all. I do not know how he could have graduated high school. I raised my concern with the owner of the school and I was told to work with him on my breaks, which I did. There was not any improvement. We set him up with a tutor off school time. He reenrolled and still no progress.The school dimissed him. How or when do you determin that a student is taking too much time away from the rest of the class because of a learning disability? It was hard to see the frustration with the other students.

Diverse Learning Groups brings different life experiences that make learning more interactive and fun

recap

Doing a recap on the days previous lesson is a good way to get the students in a learning mode, to begin the days lesson. Also for the sake of repetition

What strategies have you used to accommodate different learning styles in your classroom?

Testing

For my students I like to give them a varitey of their testing skills, within their tests and or qizzes I give them some of each type of testing materials, such as multiple choice, matching, and true 7 false, then I have them do a short answer homework assignments which is actually in a essay type of worksheet.

Formative & Summative Evaluations

I beleive that students should know where they stand in their learning comprehensive, because when they know where they stand in there assignments shows them not only what they are learning but also it improves there selfestem.

This type of student can be a challenge but yet so fullfilling, this class has enhanced my desire to continue working this type of student

lesson plans are very important and objectives to your teaching for student learning has to be cleared. course content must be cleared and extent of student learner must be given and avilable in different ways.
