DAHLIA,
All forms will be reviewed annually by the program specialist at CIE. This is done in conjunction with the annual licensure process.

Stephen,
Make sure that everyone is using the correct enrollment agreement that has been approved by the commission before it's used.

Patty Aronoff

The enrollment agreement is very detailed as required, and upon inspection I was very pleased with it. The director is the person i seek for any uncertainties. Before the start of each new school year all forms are reviewed and discussed. Knowing the finances for each program and the refund policy is definitely good information and I intend to implement it more often.

Each time we update our enrollment agreements, it is stored electronically so that everyone can read and understand it.

Thanks for those great advice.

merlene,

Frequently asked questions is a great way to prepare for those answers. Develop a list and discuss with staff to fully answer.

Patty Aronoff

Sara,
The refund policy in the enrollment agreement must match the catalog, exactly...word for word. Try calculating a refund a have someone verify your answer as a way to fully understand how the policy works.

Patty Aronoff

Erika,

We should always review, especially when it's a new adjustment to a well used document.

Patty Aronoff

Christy,
Make it fun! It's a great learning exercise.

Kimberly ,

Excellent! You are taking the best approach in compliance.

New Student Question: Am I expected to pay the registration fee if I changed my mind about coming to school this semester/quarter after two days of completing the enrollment agreement?
The enrollment representative(s) is the most likely persons to provide accurate answers. Also other faculty who who are trained in admissions are resources and the schools catalog should be readily available to provide the answers.

Our Enrollment Agreement actually states the refund policies and asks the students to sign off if they have understood them. Because our institution doesn't have the Admission Staff do the enrollment agreement I think something similar to the enrollment agreement, or perhaps it could be considered a part of the enrollment agreement is our application. Our application if very succinct, sometimes I think we could ask a few more questions of our students, but for the most part it is very straight forward. I do believe though that I need to brush up on my knowledge of the refund policy.

The Director of Admissions is able to answer questions. Every time an update is made, it is stored electronically in a stored folder so that everyone can read it, and understand it.

I always review our updated enrollment agreements. We update them as new regulations come down the pike.

This is such a great idea! I never thought of doing this. I think this will be excellent practice not only for myself, but for our entire team.

Jennifer,

That is correct! The student signs the enrollment agreement stating they have read and received a copy of the catalog.

Patty Aronoff

This is a good idea. Doing this I will be prepared and in position to answer the prospective student's question.

The enrollment agreement and the catalog constitute the contract between the student and the school.

Cynthia ,

Excellent start! We have to ask probing questions in order to guide the student. They really rely on us for direction.

Patty Aronoff

Michelle,
Excellent! It really should be part of everyone's process for clear consumer information.
