The training program is very thorough and we are expected to understand and remember all the information fully before becoming a certified rep. If we do not remember the compliance information when a situation arises, there are always resources available to the reps via the intraweb.

Two weeks of intensive on-the-job training, followed by an additional week during which my supervisor observed and critiqued me during the sales process. My training included a visit to the home office, so that I could meet with members of other departments and learn their functions.

We do have training for new reps which is very extensive with regards to compliance on the state and federal levels. We are very strict with regard to this type of training. Inaddition we have a one hour weekly training session with our supervisor which is usually "topic" driven - take one specific area of compliance and delve into it in detail - and the reps have the opportunity to share any issues that they have run into. We then offer peer evaluations to make sure we are all on the same page and totally compliant.

Most of the information that is covered is what we can and cannot do by law. then we move on to just information about our college. we are very carefully that we do not release any misleading or false information to students seeking education.
