Through this online training process and the on campus Ignite training process, I am learning the ins and out of the admissions process and the rules and regulations by which it is necessary to operate.
I learn about any updates from my supervisor and from this website but I wish there were classes I could attend maybe just once a year with other reps. I think that would be helpful.
There are many ways to learn the rules that regulate the school and it's employees. I am currently learning these rules by studying internal policy fact sheets, consulting with mentors, and reviewing the State Board's website. We also have a training manual that touches on a lot of the rules that I use daily with my directors to ensure that I am fully understanding the proper practices.
I agree, reading and studying the school’s catalog is a great way to learn the laws and rules of Ohio state but continuous training will always keep Reps’ knowledge fresh on all subjects as well as any new or changing laws.
We are anually required to take an admissions competency exam, and we take anually training classes for any updates on rules and regulations for our school.
catalogs enrollment agreement, policies and procedures, organizational chart and current training which I've enjoyed immensely.
Thank you!
Keeping the notebook, as well as updates is a big help. Knowing where to reference rules/laws is just as important as knowing them off hand.
By accessing the site of the Ohio Board of Career Colleges and Schools.
Agreed, I think that the OACCS website is a great tool for updating ourselves, and checking to make sure we are accurate, but also a great tool to help the Enrollment team, and our entire staff keep up to date with changes, and if ever there are questions its a great reference. The other tool is the Catalog, with its specifics, and information as well.
I have been looking through the company catalog as well as during my training I have been doing things like this module as well as our company self training modules that allow me to learn the rules and regulations.
I learn about the regulatory rules of the school through a variety of sources. Directly, I am learning by reading policy and training manuals. Also, the supervisors are excellent at answering my questions regarding rules and regulations.
I am learning these various Rules by reviewing our school's print materials, as well as the content of this training session. Our managers are also providing information during training sessions.
By this training, information from seasoned reps and in the catalog, as well as the head of different departments.
We have consistent weekly group meetings to learn about any new rules and regulations involving our school. I also plan to visit the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and School's website on a monthly basis.
When I first started as an admissions representative, I had extensive training on compliance and the process for enrolling students. I have attended consistent weekly group meetings on various aspects of compliance, product knowlege, rules and regulations, process and procedure. Constant communication on changes is an integral part of staying compliant.
Keep current with the changing regulations in my notebook binder and refresh myself with them. Maintain notes from the training from my Director of Admissions.
I am learning the rules by reading through the admissions rep reulatory laws and rules in my resource notebook, reading through the campus catalog, hands on learning on campus with my admissions trainer, and asking lots of questions while taking good detailed notes.
I am a new rep, so that link will be a big help. I have a reoccuring reminder set in outlook to check on that website along with the OACCS website to see if there are any updates. The staff here is also a great tool. We talk amongst each other and help to keep each other informed when there are updates.
From meetings at the school, checking the board website, and now the agent training.
Some of the ways I am learning the various Rules that regulate my activities and about the instituation would be in the employee handbook, school catalog, employee portal, bosses etc.
