The school that I just started working for probably has the most comprehensive training program that I have experienced in my career in higher education. The training program lasted for two full weeks, and a significant portion was focused on compliance, as the trainer is also the complaince officer.

So are we - and there is zero tolerance at our location as well!

We used to have a one-hour training session each week which focused on a specific area of compliance. The DOR would hone in on an area where, during the previous week, one of the reps had shown a weakness or a question had been raised. Now we do these less often, but compliance is ALWAYS stressed.

We have an excellent new hire training program and recurring updates thru out the year. Compliance training is required for all employees.

Compliance is the first thing that we are taught in our training. Every day of our several week training was punctuated by Compliance issues and it was stressed that this is our #1 concern.

We were taught that Compliance is of the utmost importance and our school has a zero tollerance for non-compliance.

I'm a new hire and we have 5 weeks of training so I'm sure we will go over all of that.

Yes, the school I represent does. We have several forms of training. These types include: instructor led sessions, on-line and resource materials via an intranet. In addition, new employees meet with all departments and faculty to fully understand the operations and programs.

The internal training program for new admissions reps typically lasts up to 5 weeks at the Art Institute of Ohio-Cincinnati. This does include compliance with state/federal regulations governing admissions. There is written documents provided to new hires as well as web-based (Intranet) trainings.

Our main focus is on compliance at all levels and we meet weekly or sooner as changes are mandated.

Yes, we have internal training which includes scripts and CRM training. We discuss all the state,federal and accreditiaion regulation when speaking with students.

Yes, my school has a training program for new agents/admissions reps. There is a great deal of time and effort focused on the compliance aspect. Being able to recognize the various state/federal/accreditation requirements is a key piece for the agent/admissions rep, along with the school. Thus spending a considerable time on these areas is a key to a new hire training.

Our school has a formal training program for all new admissions reps. It's a detailed two week training course that all reps attend, and it's common to see a class with reps from varous campuses and 100% online enrollment reps within the same class. I would say of those 10 work days, at least 2 days of material was focused on understanding policies and regulations. In addition to those specific training days to learn the content, we cover the compliance with federal/state/accreditation regulations and how it relates to each topic as we go through the course. The beginning of the training covers the policy learning but then we incorporate that back into the training as we learn about each job competency, program, procedure, and even during role playing scenarios to better understand why we have this in place.

Yeah, we also use a large, 5-inch binder that holds everything from the catalog to the program information to projected growth per program based upon info from the Dept of Labor. I still refer back to that binder from time to time.

We absolutely do! Depending on the point in the quarter when a new ad rep is hired, they usually complete 1-3 weeks of training prior to hitting the floor. Regardless of whether they do a jump-start training (like I did back in 2009), all ad reps eventually complete a much more detailed training program. We definitely address state/fed/accreditation regulations during different parts of the training. Some of it is saved for the discussion of the interview script, some is addressed during the discussion of job placement, etc.

Our school does have an internal training program which I think is great, especially for first time agents who are new to the field. It is very focused on compliance, which again, is great for reps who are new to the business. It makes you feel more confident in your words while you are speaking with potential and current students.

Our school does have internal training programs. Communication is key in having a successful school. We do you use a notebook to keep our training program together as well as to keep up-to-date to any changes.

Yes we do, I am actually currently going through it. The program is very detailed and focuses on all of the school, regional and federal regulations to make sure that it is within compliance as we are a school that has a very large amount of students from both inside and outside of the U.S.

Our school trains new agents via 8 modules we copied in a huge three binded notebook. Three of the modules are all about compliance--very detailed and informative.

Yes! We have an internal training program as well. A large portion of the initial training is based on compliance. It was very in-depth for being a new rep. It is nice to know that OACCS offers continued and up to date training. I'll participate!

Yes, this will all be a part of our internal training. I am uncertain at this time how much of the training will be however.
