I have printed information from the module. especially the laws. this is my first day on job so now I am gathering catalog and enrollment. I am the high school admission coordinator so I have a different role but exciting.
It helps to have this resource book because when working with many different states it helps to remember the specifics.
it is helpful to have everything in a notebook
I am currently working on my Resource Notebook. I do plan on putting as much valuable information as possible in the notebook.
I discovered that you as an admission rep can be held liable for what you do and say, not just the school it self.
Ohio rules and regulations. I discovered the difference between an agent and counselor. An agent is not a counselor. Counselor means academic advisor. I learned that anyone soliciting prospective students to enroll for a fee at a registered Ohio school, must first obtain agent's permit from the board.
The information that is used in my Resource Notebook is, School Catalog, School Enrollment Agreements, Policies and Proceedures, Organization Chart and Institutional Accreditation and Approvals.
I have found that our Institution's rules and regulations require us to follow step by step guidelines regarding our enrollment process.
Everything besides the marketing plans. I am sure this will be added soon. The institution is very strick about the reps to follow the guidelines they have as well as the rules and regulations.
I made sure to have the information and course catelog for Strayer as well as the infomration and forms specific for Ohio. I learned that the enrollment form is specific to this state.
The Resource Notebook is a great idea and it is helpful to keep it somewhere that you can always reach it for information and/or clarification.
I have added all the information provided about what an admissions rep must do to provent their licsence from being taken away. I have added my schools policies and practices and much more.
What I discovered after completing section quiz 1 is that this certification must be renewed every year. Very interesting information to have.
In my resource notebook, I was able to place detailed information about the schools programs. This allows me to constantly refresh my memory on information I do not use on a daily basis. Also, it helps me to provide accurate information to my prospective students.
I have been gathering doucuments that I believe will help me succeed in my role as an Admissions Rep.
I have placed the Agent's Admissions Reps Regulatory Laws/Rules packet in my NoteBook so far. I have learned the difference between and agent and rep and how monitored the positions actually are which is good for future students.
So far I have used my resorce notebook to organize the information on all the programs offered here at the college. I also have a few copies of advertisement just to see what our advertisement looks like and what is currently being circulated.
In my resource notebook I have a variety of items that include the rules and regulations for each state that I recruit for, it also contains campus specific information such as the catalog, enrollment agreement, marketing items such as mailers and advertisments. What I have learned is that generally for most states the rules and regulations the school must follow when recruiting potential students remains the same but each state also has its own specific rules you must follow. It becomes a challenge when dealing with campuses in multiple states but the notebook does help in being able to refference specific details when needed.
I printed the laws, rules, statutes and forms pages. I started working my new school last week. In my previous employment we had a referral reward program given to students who referred a new student.I need to follow up on if my school has an official referral program after reading Rule 3332-1-17.2 #12.
Hi so far I have placed the Agents/Admissions Reps Regulatory Laws/Rules printout in my Resource Notebook. I have discovered so many things because I am so new to this. I didn't know an agent permit was needed and had to be renewed annually. I was unaware that applicable sections of Ohio's Law and Rules had to be read. Just like any job I do know that there are rules and regulations to uphold and if they are not followed, disciplinary action would take place. I did not know to what extent until now.
In my resource notebook I have my Ohio Adminisrative Code Chapter 3332, the organization chart of my institutions breakdown, each programs brochure and important facts, and school catalog.
Before I started the resource notebook I wasnt aware of how much information the school has to disclose being a career college. I have realized the resource notebook is an easy tool to keep all notes organized and easily accessed.
I put the ohio rules and regulations in my book. along with the viewbook with programs and info related to the school i work at. I also wasnt aware that people who do not primarily enroll students didnt need a license.
Part of this job is organization. That becomes difficult when you have to cover so many states with different laws within each state. I've organized my resource notebook so that i have an area for each state. Within each state, i'm able to keep a checklist of the different laws and regulations. Having tangible material works well for me!
