Knowing what Student Services your campus provides

Although we do not have a separate department that deals only with providing student services to our students, we do have many resources that are known throughout the entire campus to point our students in the right direction for everything from housing to daycare and carpools. Everything is housed in a binder for easy access as well. What sorts of Student Service Resources do you have on your campuses?

Enrollment paperwork check

We have put a process in place for all Admissions Paperwork to be reviewed by the person entering an enrollment BEFORE the student enrolling leaves the campus. This has eliminated any discrepancies with missing initialing/signature at the time of the enrollment.

Ongoing Admissions Training

It is important for Reps to review their materials often and receive ongoing training pertaining to their roles as an Admissions Representative. This helps in always ensuring providing the best customer service, sending the same message to all potential students with consistency, and ensuring Admissions Representatives have the most updated information.

Who's invited

When holding weekly staff meetings, who, besides the Admissions Reps, should be present?

Resource Notebook

With as often as things update, I plan to set a recurring Outlook appointment to remind myself to check for updates. What other techniques are people using to stay up to date?

Resouce Notebook

As an Agent, it is vital to keep all materials updated. I have personally placed all current marketing materials, in addition to a tab with all laws and regulation in my resouce notebook. I keep it handy by the phone and will update at the least once a month. What other materials are you keeping in your resource notebook?

Catalog and Enrollment Agreement

It is highly recommended that an agent familiarize themselves with their institutions catalog and enrollment agreement. While you can answer any prospective students questions, you can also reference the answer in writing in the catalog.
