It's important to stay up to date with the most recent compliance publications to save the employee and employer from consequences that can result in the loss of employment and/or extreme fines for the employer.

Understanding my institution

My institution follows these rules and regulations. As a new hire on day 1, I was given manuals that explained the importance of being compliant and understanding the institution.

Organizing my paperwork

I used to keep a binder with important information needed however with the many changes, I found it easier to create an electronic folder on my desktop to store important rules and regulations.

Graduation date

When do you tell the potential student regarding graduation date? I feel when they have been accepted into the program, what do you think?

Proper channels regarding each section of agreement

At our Institution I am the one that interviews the potential student so that I can make sure they are qualified to a certain degree. I also have our Admissions Secretary make copies and go over the enrollment agreement with them.

Entrance test

During the Admission process can you legally give an test to all to see where they are in their English comprehension?

Credit Transfer

Is it required to accept transfer credits from other institutions? Mine currently does not.

Hired during course of study

If a student is hired midway through a program does it count against the schools placement rate?

Admissions Employee vs Agents

I understand agents must be reaccreditted every year, but I did not gather wether full-time admissions personnel must also retake the course every year. Our institution has both. Thanks in advance for your help.

Istitution Compliance

It is very important for a licensed institution to comply with the the rules and regulations set forth by the Commission for Independent Education by setting up guidelines, training, supervision and communication with all departments and making sure that all staff understand and respect them to ensure that all students benefit and succeed in their education.

Advertising and Marketing.

It is very important for an Admission representative to be aware of the marketing and advertising of an institution in order to be aware of what is available when speaking to prospective students.If not aware of the marketing plan, ask for the samples af the marketing effort so that prospective students will be well informed about various promotions offered by the institutions. There are various marketting strategies: Print Ads, Radio, TV, Dorect mails or Emails. Regardless of what strategies used, the information will be beneficial to prospective students.

Best accreditation for transferring credits

Which accreditation is considered to be the best by other institutions for transferring credits? National, Regional or Programmic?

Marketing

What is considered to be the most effective marketing strategy and why? Does it depend a lot on the location of the institution? Or is there a universal strategy that seems to get the best results for prospective students across the board?

enrollment paperwork

sometimes we don't go over the paperwork where important initials and signatures are required then we must have the student return to do it at orientation etc. I like to use a yellow highlighter and highlight all areas where initials and signatures are needed and it's easy to see if it's been done with the highlighters. The checklist is also helpfull before you exit your process with the student
